Terms of
Service

All bookings made through RentShort are subject to the following payment terms:

1. Full payment is required at the time of booking confirmation unless stated otherwise.
2. Prices are inclusive of platform fees but may exclude applicable taxes.
3. RentShort charges a service fee of 10–15% per transaction, deducted from the Host's payout.
4. Payouts to Hosts are processed within 48 hours after the booking ends.
5. All transactions are processed in INR unless otherwise specified.

Cancellation policies are set by individual Hosts and displayed on the listing page. Standard policies on RentShort:

1. Flexible— Full refund if cancelled 24 hours before the booking starts.
2. Moderate— Full refund if cancelled 5 days before; 50% refund thereafter.
3. Strict— 50% refund if cancelled 7 days before; no refund within 7 days.
4. Non-refundable— No refund under any circumstances.

RentShort service fees are non-refundable in all cases. In the case of Host cancellation, Guests receive a full refund including service fees.

The following activities are strictly prohibited on the RentShort platform:

1. Creating fake listings, fraudulent reviews, or misrepresenting yourself.
2. Circumventing the platform to arrange bookings or payments off-platform.
3. Using RentShort for illegal activities including drug use, gambling, or exploitation.
4. Harassing, threatening, or discriminating against other users.
5. Scraping, copying, or reverse-engineering any part of our platform.
6. Posting content that infringes intellectual property rights.

RentShort's liability is limited to the service fee paid in the transaction giving rise to the claim, to the maximum extent permitted by applicable law.

We are not liable for personal injury, property damage, or loss at a listed space; disputes between Hosts and Guests; or any indirect or consequential damages arising from use of the platform.

In the event of a dispute between a Host and Guest, both parties agree to first attempt resolution in good faith. RentShort may mediate at its discretion but is under no obligation to do so.

Either party may terminate their use of RentShort at any time. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, engage in fraudulent activity, or cause harm to other users.

1. Upon termination, any pending bookings may be cancelled at our discretion.
2. Hosts with pending payouts will receive them within 7 business days unless funds are disputed.
3. Provisions including liability limits and governing law survive termination.

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Mumbai, Maharashtra.

As a Host, you are solely responsible for your listed space and for ensuring compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.

1. Listings must accurately describe the space, amenities, rules, and pricing.
2. Hosts must have the legal right to rent the space.
3. Hosts are responsible for maintaining the space in a safe condition.
4. Any required permits, licenses, or NOCs are the Host's sole responsibility.
5. Hosts must honour confirmed bookings unless cancelled within the permitted window.
6. Hosts must respond to booking requests and guest messages within 24 hours.

RentShort is an online marketplace operated by RentShort Technologies Pvt. Ltd., a company incorporated under the laws of India. We connect space owners ("Hosts") with individuals or businesses seeking short-term space rentals ("Guests").

RentShort is a marketplace platform only. We do not own, manage, or control any spaces listed on our platform. We are not a party to any rental agreement between a Host and a Guest.

Guests agree to use booked spaces responsibly and in accordance with the Host's rules and these Terms.

Allowed

1. Use space for its stated purpose
2. Respect checkout time and house rules
3. Report any damage immediately
4. Keep noise within reasonable limits
5. Leave the space as you found it

Not Allowed

1. Subletting or transferring the booking
2. Exceeding the stated guest capacity
3. Smoking in non-designated areas
4. Using space for illegal activities
5. Damaging property or fixtures

Guests may be held financially liable for any damages caused during their booking period.

To use RentShort, you must meet the following requirements:

1. You must be at least 18 years of age.
2. You must have the legal capacity to enter into binding contracts under Indian law.
3. You must provide accurate, current, and complete registration information.
4. You must not have a previously terminated RentShort account without written approval.
5. Businesses must be duly registered and authorised to conduct operations.

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials. Any activity under your account is your responsibility.
